CAC Special Education Committee / U-46 Special Education Department

Welcome to the CAC Special Education Committee!

The goal of the Citizens' Advisory Council (CAC) is to advise and assist the Board of Education and Administration in the ongoing effort to provide the best possible educational opportunities for the students of School District U-46. For over half a century, citizen and parent volunteers that live within U-46 boundaries have served as liaisons between their schools, the CAC, and the school district. We identify our children's needs and bring ideas to the District.

The CAC Special Education Committee acts as a resource for parents of students in special education or those receiving special services/support by providing information and support; the committee also works to provide opportunities for parent engagement. We work in partnership with the administrative staff of the Special Education Department of U-46.

For more information on CAC, please visit our website at http://www.u46cac.org.
